Application Description: 
Moving an attack alligator and sleeping giant’s head.

Challenge:
A manufacturer of haunted-house equipment was looking for a way to animate figures to induce terror into the hearts of people paying to go through their haunted houses. They needed a 12-foot attack alligator to burst out of the murky darkness with chomping jaws when victims step on a hidden pressure pad. The propulsion device needed to be submerged under water. They were also looking to jerk up the 600-lb head of their sleeping giant as he leaps and screams at visitors.

Tolomatic Solution:
A 2-inch bore cable cylinder with a 60-inch stroke and protective coating provided the burst of speed required to effectively move the attack alligator submerged in water. A 2-1/2-inch bore 48-inch stroke cable cylinder was used to move the giant’s head and control his leap. The cable cylinder could be mounted away from the giant so it would not detract from the terror tactics.
