Application Description: 
Life testing of power drill clutch force in drywall screw installation

Challenge:
A manufacturer of quality power tools needed a test fixture that would dynamically test clutch force of their power drill when applying drywall screws at a rate of 1 to 6 times per minute. The test fixture would require a long life, continuous testing on a multi-year basis (6 plus years) with sustainable performance. A thrust accuracy of +/- 1/4 lb would be required in controlling acceleration and velocity.

Tolomatic Solution:
A Tolomatic RSA rod-style screw actuator was selected to repeatedly apply force until the clutch engages.
